Which course should I start with?

If you want to become a certified personal trainer, start with the IFPA Personal Fitness Trainer Seminar — it is the flagship course and the foundation the specialist modules build on. The Sports Nutrition Specialist and Senior Fitness Specialist modules are self-study add-ons; a PFT foundation is recommended but not required for either.

Which courses can use SkillsFuture funding?

Does completing the seminar give me the IFPA Personal Fitness Trainer certification?

No. Completing the seminar earns you Carbyne Education's Certificate of Completion. The IFPA Personal Fitness Trainer certification is a separate credential awarded by IFPA only when you pass the IFPA Online Test — 110 multiple-choice questions with an 80% pass mark, taken remotely with proctoring and scheduled separately from the seminar.

Is the IFPA Online Test tied to my seminar attendance or assessment results?

No. The IFPA Online Test is administered independently by IFPA. Taking it does not depend on attending our seminar or on passing the Role Play and Oral Questioning assessment — and equally, completing our seminar does not exempt you from the test. The seminar prepares you for the credential; it does not replace it.

Any remaining balance can be paid with SkillsFuture Credit, so eligible learners can end at S$0 net cash payable.
